I like popcorn and have it three to four times a week. I had been using one of those fordable silicon microwave poppers that you place in the microwave but I could never get all popcorn to pop in it. The Presto 04821 Orville Redenbacher's Hot Air Popper looked like a great option and as it turned out it was. However, the other day while making a batch of air popped corn in it the clear plastic lid either jarred loose or I improperly installed it and when the batch was complete and the lid cooled off I found that it had partially melted, was warped out of shape, and could not be reinstalled. I sent an email to Presto reporting the problem, thinking it might be covered under warranty, and was advised on how to order a replacement. I complied but it has turned out to be a rather costly proposition as the cost of the replacement lid with S&H is over 1/2 the original cost of the popper. If the unit did not make such good popcorn I would have ordered a new and differently designed pop corn maker. A costly lesson indeed!
