I was pretty excited to get the KeySmart Max after reading the reviews and watching the video on it. However, I ended up returning it and refunding it for a couple of reasons. First, I want to note that it is a great concept. Everyone loses their keys so the Tile function is nice. The LED light on it is great for if you need a quick flashlight or have to open a door in the dark. Lastly, the compactness of it does reduce the amount of space a normal set of keys would take up in your pocket. So kudos for these things. The functionality and "execution" is where I believe are flaws. First, the biggest reason I returned it is because the Tile function kept randomly beeping in my pocket. And it wont shut up until it beeps three little chimes over 30 seconds. Imagine being in a meeting with that happening. It's also not hard to hit the Tile button when you pull it out of your pocket. Second, I only had 7 keys on mine. 3 on one side, 3 on the other (plus the tool that comes with it) and my car key attached to the key ring. They say it can hold 14 keys but I do not understand how anyone can function that way. With only 7 keys, trying to get one key out to use it is hard when all the others have to come out. It's like a pocket knife that you have to pull up all the other tools to get to one tool. When you do finally get it out, the rubber key ring side gets in the way, too. The assembly is a nightmare - WAY too many pieces. The little 2 inch plastic screwdriver they give you needs to be longer. People don't have strength in the tips of their fingers. It also shreds every time you use it. I think this has great potential, but this thing needs a lot of work.
