I purchased these Glasslock containers at Costco. I loved the fact that I didn't need to store our food in plastic anymore. However, after about a year the rims started chipping off and I was finding long thin slivers of glass. At first I cut myself when I got a glass splinter in my hand. I threw that container out about 2 weeks ago. Now I found quite a few splinters in an an empty container I was about to use. I decided to throw away the whole set. I even threw out some left-overs that were in my fridge because I didn't know if there was glass in them before I put the food in them. I know Costco would have made good on them, but I did not save my receipt. I would definitely stay away from these. The set I had was made in Korea. I don't know if Pyrex is American made, but I would look into it, as I will before purchasing another glass container set.
