Oregon had a 30 year ice storm. We had no power for 3 days. We had this radio in our emergency kit and immediately brought it out for the very first time to: 1) have light 2) have a way to listen to weather 3) be able to wind it to charge dead phones. It did not work. At all. Not with batteries, not with winding. Nothing. We tried every way we could think of. We wound that sucker as long as our cold fingers could take it. Nothing. It's a $34 piece of junk and it's going in the trash. Spend your money elsewhere and don't depend on this for an emergency, please!
