The extensive online information from the manufacturer on the Amazon listing states that you can use these anywhere in your home, but the instructions included in the box tell you the 2 devices must be plugged into the same circuit. I can't use it to help in my home situation. I would never have spent the $50 had I known this in advance. All of the information online implies they can be used anywhere in your home. Not sure how all these other folks got such great results, most homes have multiple circuits. The whole point is expanding the internet capability without adding additional wiring.
