I just picked up my fireplace from my package room and was so excited to unwrap it and get it set up for Thanksgiving. The product shipped quickly and was packed immaculately as described in other reviews. My husband and I pull it out and sit by the spot in the living room we had picked out (we haven't even unboxed the actual fireplace heater at this point.) I say to him "The mantel has casters, you can slide it." Strike one, no casters on it as described and none were packed in the box to add on. Well, I am too excited and casters are the least of the features I really desired so I quickly moved on to standing back and admiring the mantel box against the wall, thinking of how I'll decorate around it. That's when strike 2 and 3 hit me at the same time prompting me to share these pictures and ask my husband to pack it up for return. By the looks of this, this mantel box broke into pieces at some point and the company had someone slap it back together in the least acceptable way and expect a new customer to be satisfied. WRONG!!! The front frame isn't flush, the wood filler they used to cover the cracks isn't flush nor is it painted the same white as the base. Oh and visible there are nail heads on one side of the frame also hastily painted over in the same mismatched white as the wood filler. No thanks, Della and Amazon. I've seen this type of thing happen to other customers with other products online and am always dumbfounded. Not that a seller tries to fix and resell a product. I'm shocked at the person who looked at this high school wood shop hack and said "Yes, this is the quality we want to sell people on. It looks perfect- lets ship it!" This is a holiday blunder and bummer. I am requesting a return and will look for a product from a different vendor.
