This item does not have same quality as the large 5.5 qt. oval enameled cast iron Dutch oven and the smaller 3 qt. round enameled cast iron Dutch oven that Cuisinart makes in the same color/material. I've owned both of those products for a few years and cannot say enough about their quality. However, I purchased this particular item in February 2016, and it is already chipped in several places and the enamel is scratched in several places as well (as of June 2016). This doesn't make sense since I use the same cooking methods and cleaning products for my other Cuisinart enameled cookware, and those items remain flawless inside and out. The only difference is that I purchased the other two directly from Cuisinart... so, in my opinion, the authenticity of this item is questionable. I own Cuisinart chef knives and several small kitchen appliances and I've come to expect excellent quality from this brand--and outside of my experience with this particular item--I've never been disappointed. Do yourself a favor and buy this product directly from Cuisinart, or skip it altogether.
