Sadistic app registration process
Gave up trying to sign in.
First of all, most fire tv apps that require a cable account have you go to a url to activate. Since I'm already signed into my cable provider on my phone, I get the code in seconds and the process is over with.
CNN GO must have hired sadists as their app developers. Here's what I went through:
Type first then select cable provider. The virtual keyboard covers the drop-down so you have to type the whole damn name in anyway.
Enter username and password. I sighed. On the fire stick, this takes FOREVER.
There's no "@" symbol on abc keyboard, or better yet "@gmail.com" to make it less time-consuming to complete the form.
There's a "remember me " checkbox. Seriously? CNN really thinks fire stick users want to go through this every single time they use the app???
Of course I mistyped the password. Guess what? It wipes the username and makes you enter it all over again.
I gave up at this point. Back to watching CBS news which has the only decent news app.
CNN should fire their developers and start over.
