This dry erase board came with "The Board Dudes" dry erase markers. A public interest group called the United States Public Interest Research Group Education Fund recently had an independant laboratory conduct tests on back-to-school products for toxic chemicals. Of the products tested, "The Board Dudes" markers and dry-erase markers were tested. "The Board Dudes" dry erase markers are a brand owned by Mattel. The dry-erase markers tested positive for chemicals found in B.T.E.X., benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene. These are the dry-erase markers that came with my white board.
