As a licensed occupational therapist, who evaluates and recommends adaptive equipment for bath safety, I would predict that I would be sued for medical malpractice if I recommended this mat to one of my patients. The suction is very variable and unpredictable (the manufacturer insists that the suction works if the tub is clean, untextured and water must be applied prior to placing it down) That said, the product is too unreliable to perform its main function: gripping safety. I have not been able to induce the suction cups to work. It slips and slides, posing a danger to the operator. It is most uncomfortable to sit upon. One edge tends to curl-up, interfering with water/ soap drainage. It is dangerous!!!!!, especially relative to any other tub mats that I have ever used. I will certainly be returning it. DO NOT BUY
