98% of this edger deserves a five star review were it not for the on/off switch. Great power, fantastic cutting ability with the titanium blade, nicely thought out safety switch on the guard, comfortable handle, more neat little other features and this hedger cut through my hedge like no other hedger I've had. The whole look and feel of this hedger bespoke good quality. But for only two hours before the on/off switch failed catastrophically . I don't know who designed the very strange on/off switch on the main handle but clearly they never looked at a competitors design for a simple solution to a simple problem. The switch just doesn't work and once it fails, and it will fail because it simply isn't a good design, the hedger is useless. I noted several other reviews that commented on this feature and this unfortunately is a strange design probably costing more than the less complex switches common on other competitors hedgers. What a great product ruined by one defective part. I was fortunate that it failed so quickly. This is the type of defect that might last through the warranty period before its inevitable failure and I wouldn't have Amazons great return policy to fall back upon..
