They had one job!
As a fan of Robert Jordan I am shocked how bad they messed this show up. All the writers had to do was fallow the story, adapt the story into a show and rake in the money. They failed big time! It is clear to me the writers wanted to make a Game of Thrones want a be, but where Game of Thrones at least had 4 really good seasons this one is bad from jump. For God sakes they even did the body parts seen in Game of Thrones season one episode 1 to make a symbol in the woods.
There are so many things bad about this show I don't even know where to start. In short the writers seem to feel threatened by Robert Jordan's work and have made so many changes that this is Wheel of Time in name only.
If you are a fan of the Wheel of Time books just know this is going to be painful to watch, but watch we will in the hopes that some how they will get their heads out of you know where, but I very much doubt it.
FYI I think at one point Perrin Aybara was fighting Chewbacca.....
