Counterfeit
I've been an Oral-B customer for 19 years. I used to always get the replacement toothbrush heads from local stores like Costco. I got this 10 pieces pack for $35 from Amazon before I took a three month trip last December. Due to busy holiday shipping, they arrived a day after my departure. I was going to replace my husband's toothbrush head tonight and immediately noticed these toothbrush heads are different from what I have used. I compared a new toothbrush head to my genuine toothbrush head and noticed these differences:
1. "Oral-B" logo: Amazon one is blurry; genuine one is clear.
2. Small piece of metal at front: Amazon one is thiner and longer than genuine one.
3. Bristles: Amazon bristles are spread out; genuine bristles hold together tight and straight even after four months of use. Amazon one has a short white bristle on the side of blue bristles; genuine one doesn't have.
4. Bristle recesses: the little gaps on the edge of bristle recesses of Amazon one are longer and deeper than genuine one.
5. Brush base: two rough lines on each side are rougher than on the genuine one.
6. Code on the back: Amazon one digits and numbers are bigger, wider and less distinct than genuine one.
7. Sides: two fine lines on each side of the body are much rougher on the Amazon one.
8. A small round shape on the front bottom: Amazon one has protuberance, whereas genuine one has a pit.
Now the price of this 10 piece pack has dropped from $35 to $27.98. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.
I contacted Amazon customer service. Since the refund date has expired, the representative couldn't issue me a refund. An Amazon supervisor from South Africa was able to process the refund inquiry.
