Feels like a identity fishing scam
I arrived here via an email "from" Amazon, advertising this business AMEX/Amazon card. After clicking the email, and redirected to the Amazon page, I read the offer, and the customer reviews. After seeing so many negative reviews associated with a glitch in processing applications from the month prior, I thought to myself, "Well if Amazon is promoting this card via an email, obviously they have the glitch fixed." WRONG! After submitting all of the most important and private of identity and banking information, the processing page froze for several minutes, before popping up a page that apologized for the error, and stated that as a security feature, my application had been deleted from all amazon servers. It then suggested that I wait a few minutes and resubmit an application. This failure has caused much stress and feelings of vulnerability, as I have not only been tricked into submitting my most prized identity information, and promptly lost it into the web. Not even sure this is a legitimate Amazon site from that promotion email, now it seems more like a sophisticated fishing scam. Now if I inquire into the matter, "Amazon" will have no record, as the application/transaction was "deleted from all of the servers." If indeed this was a legitimate offer, well thanks for nothing, as its been a complete waste of time, and a cause for concern. Small business owners have enough to do and worry about already. And now thanks to this persistent "glitch", I've got to add additional credit monitoring to my schedule. Absolute HEADACHE & WASTE OF TIME!
