THIS IS AN UNSAFE PRODUCT!!!! I put it in the bedroom and plugged it in, then set it on "max" and "2". Everything seemed fine, although there was a strong "new electronics" smell as it heated up. It did a good job of heating the small room in a few hours. Went to sleep but was awoken in the middle of the night by the smell of melting plastic, so I unplugged the unit. The electrical cord was VERY warm to the touch, as was the plug. The next morning I noticed that plug had melted. The plug had deformed and the prongs were misaligned. A melted plug is no bueno. This very possibly could have caused a fire in the bedroom as we slept. I'm glad we woke up to the smell of melting plastic instead of burning plastic.
