I should have read the small print. 42 pieces includes (3) pieces for the batteries that go into the flashlight, A plastic ziplock bag that they placed items in counts as a piece. They supply 5 plastic tie straps each counting as piece, (2) forms (AAA brochure and Accident Form) that were not even there each count as pieces, etc etc. Once you put it all together you really have 8 pieces. Long time AAA customer and very disappointed in the manner this was marketed. That having been said, I did not drill down into the details so buyer beware I suppose.
