I bought these thinking that perhaps I could mix them with my pre-existing palette for several illustration projects I do on and off. I learned through trial and error that these paints do not mix well at all with pre-existing 'normal' watercolors. The glitter tends to come off and kind of muddies up the paints when you use them wet-on-wet or when you are trying to mix with other colors. I think if one were to use them as a finisher (like iridescent medium) over already dried colors, you would be fine and it would lend a sparkle to your projects. However, as part of a normal palette, I don't think they work well.
