Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I gave up on this book after reading only 52% on my Kindle. With over 500 books on my Kindle Fire, I feel I am a very good judge of talent as regards authors and this author has a long way to go to achieve even 2 stars. Yet, "The Girl Who Lived" is highly rated which further convinces me that reviewers out there must be getting compensated to submit such high praise for one that I could not bring myself to finish...It is just that bad.. I love good books as others out there do, as well. It is a shame we are subject to false reviews and enticed to spend out time and money on such worthless reads.
