Not worth the $8.79 I paid
I am an investor in my mid 40s and have read just about every money management/finance/investing title out there from Swensen to Bernstein. This book, "I Will Teach You To Be Rich", is written by a novice cloaked as an expert. There is nothing in this book that is unique or financially advanced beyond a high school level education. For example, he mentions mutual funds yet never brings up exchange traded funds, conflates mutual funds with active investing, and fills most of the pages with testaments from paying customers. The best parts of this book are the quotes he takes from other, more serious authors. I couldn't find a single idea or suggestion that has not already been attributed to somebody else. The overall feeling is that of a self-made blogger turned salesman- the entire book feels as though it is a pitch job to pay more money for his online services. Perhaps he has helped others, which is great, but I suspect many have had the same reaction as myself. I wish Mr Sethi best wishes, but would kindly like my $8.79 and evening spent reading this filler back. It is residing in my "round file" now.
