Breadman 2 lb Professional Bread Maker, Stainless Steel, BK1050S I had my first bread maker made by Breadman for years, and it was a great machine regarding quality, design and functionality. On March 30, 2018, I decided to purchase a second bread maker made by same company. I placed my order for a Breadman 2 lb Professional Bread Maker, Stainless Steel, BK1050S, from Amazon. It arrived in a well packed box on time. I followed the operating manual and as per instructions I operated it for the first time to remove the oil on white rapid cycle. I tried to open the cover at the end of the cycle, cover was locked. I called the phone number listed in the manual and the operator said there is no lock on the cover. I attempted to open again, it would not open. I had to force it open, and to my surprise the plastic on the side of the cover and the plastic on the side of the fixed control side melted and joined together. I am writing this review after contacting the company three times without success replacing the unit. I am very disappointed for: 1- The cheap material used to make this machine. 2- The bulky and unattractive design comparing to the first machine. 3- It is difficult to see the display 4- The instruction in the manual is deceiving, 5- The bread size, and the darkness, all the same for any setting, in spite of following the recipes in manual to the letter. 6- It was very difficult to understand service operator on the phone.
