I received the steamer set on time, in perfect shape, and it appeared to be a quality item. It is listed on Amazon as being made of stainless steel, so I was surprised neither the box nor the packaging materials indicated what it is made of. After 2-3 uses, one of the steamer inserts developed a hole in the shiny silver outer layer, showing a dull grey layer inside (see photos). This is NOT stainless steel, which should be the same material thoughout the entire pan. I have no idea what it is actually made of and what the exterior coating is that flaked off into our food. Returned to Amazon for a full refund.
