I wish I had read ALL of the negative reviews before buying these because what happened to my dog tonight was really scary, and it happened twice (shame on me, I should've learned my lesson the first time). My dog loved the first few of these she ate and had no problems with them, then one got stuck longways in her teeth on one side of her mouth and she started making choking sounds and was clearly in a panic. When I ran over to her to try to help it obviously scared her and she ran away every time I got near her. She was struggling so hard to remove the chew with her paws, rolling around....it was HORRIBLE! She did finally get it out. Ok, here's where I get embarrassingly stupid: I figured this was a fluke thing so I continued to give her these treats because she really liked them. So tonight the exact same thing happened and this time it was even worse, her mouth was bleeding. Once again her panic made it impossible for me to help her (it's incredible how strong and fast a little 17-pound Dachshund can be when she's scared) so she had to somehow pry it out of her teeth on her own again. Thank goodness she's fine now. I urge any potential buyers to consider my experience very carefully. Also, find the one-star review by Faye McCarty and you'll see that this is *not* an isolated incident. Wish I'd seen her review before ordering this dangerous product.
