3 steps forward HUGE step back
It deserves 0 stars because it doesn't matter what great improvements Camelbak made to this hydration reservoir if it cannot perform it's main function.
Improvements:
1. Quick disconnect of the tube from the reservoir -- easier to clean and dry.
2. Flattened shape of the reservoir - easier to pack and transport in the backpack.
3. Softer more pliable tube -- I am glad they went back to it from the rigid tube they used last year.
Fatal Flaw:
It leaks when filled to it's advertised capacity of 100oz/3L -- it leaks from the newly designed (badly so) twist-lock type cap. Originally all Camelbaks had a vintage (and very good) screw-type cap which I have never experienced leaks with but their new twist-lock cap just doesn't put enough counter pressure on the cap to resist the pressure of water when reservoir is filled to it's advertised capacity causing a serious leak.
Bottom line the new Camelbak hydration reservoir is completely worthless because it leaks.
