Where does one start?
I asked the question where does one start because to really assess and review this series would be giving away dozens of spoilers. So, I'll just hit upon a few points and than people can decide if this is worth watching.
I managed to watch all 8 episodes and I kept thinking this has to get better-it didn't.
1. The gratuitous violence in EACH episode is stunning. There are at least a dozen murders in the first episode.
2. By the 2nd episode I figured out who the BAD GUY was and what the agenda was. Never a good sign in a series.
3. If you understand anything about cult mentality you'll figure this out real fast. BIG RED FLAG who the Bad Guy is.
4. People who are suppose to be in hiding but are willing to make it easy for them to found-are not hiding. They are baiting.
5. There is so much violence occurring, even among law enforcement yet not 1 investigation is started. Bodies all over the place. News reports but no investigations.
6. The last episode, even if you suspend disbelief is so unbelievable I fast forwarded thru it.
7. There was a sex scene I guess just for the purpose of having one.
8. Timing for this sort of series is inappropriate. I personally don't like series that use children like in this one. If you are a parent with young children you may want to give this a pass. It can be the stuff of nightmares.
9. Big clue that the directors missed in editing is the photo of the Asylum patients and the dialogue of the doctor's wife. I stopped the video and got a good look at it the first time it appeared. 2 + 2 = 4.
If violence doesn't bother you, lack of consistency in a story and plot holes you can walk through that are annoying, give this a look. Otherwise-pass.
