We bought this to use our awesome Max Burton induction burner with some aluminum pans. Put it on the burner, put an aluminum fry pan on top, with eggs in the pan, turned on the induction burner, and we waited... Half a second later, there was a series of loud metallic pops. This kind of freaked us out, as you don't normally see that kind of behaviour in major appliances. Upon immediately turning it off, we examined everything and noted rather large blisters in the thin metal sheeting on this disk. It no longer sat flat, and very little of the disk would make contact with the burner any more. It lasted an incredible half of a second before breaking. We contacted the company from which we bought it on Amazon (don't remember who it was - so consider this review to be of the item, not the seller), and heard nothing back. Fifty bucks flushed down the toilet. NOT recommended.
