I am very disappointed in the customer service from Gamma2 Inc. the manufacturer of the Vittles Vault. We thought this storage system was terrific until we had an ant invasion. At first we believed the ants were on the outside of the container (the lid was tight), but upon opening found the ants swarming the dog food inside. In order to thoroughly clean the unit we took it apart including the ring on the base unit that screws into the lid and discovered the top lip of the container was warped enough to prevent a seal. We contacted customer service and sent them photos of the unit. They agreed it was a defect and stated they would send a replacement in a few days. It has now been nearly a month with no container. Our emails inquiring about status have gone unanswered. Considering the manufacturer is only an hour and a half drive from our location, we are VERY disappointed. Our recommendation to anyone purchasing this product-take it apart completely to ensure it is free of defects.
