Disappointing. For the price, I am extremely disappointed. EDIT: And now they are pesteringme.
1. The marker ink seems to be extra "wet".
1a. Good: When filling in an area, it's relatively easy to achieve a smooth effect with no visible stroke marks.
1b. Bad: The ink wicks further into the paper for several seconds after application. As a result, it ends up in places where it is not wanted. It's hard to judge how much it will wick, so it's hard to keep it contained to the desired area.
2. Each marker has a fine tip and a broad tip.
2a. The fine tips are inconsistent from one marker to the next; and none of them produce a truly fine line. Out of the box, many of the tips felt "broken in" and very much like a soft paintbrush. Even with the gentlest touch, many of them make a like 3+ mm wide.
2b. The broad tips are more consistent in starting texture and have a nice sharp chisel. Five (5) of the 40 broad tips were not fully installed into the marker body, but that was fixed by simply pushing them in.
3. The color selection is... odd. Not bad necessarily, but odd. As another person mentioned, many greys and greyish colors; no purple. NO PURPLE? I am considering RMAing them over this alone.
EDIT: The seller cooperated fully with the refund process, which is nice. But they are also pestering me to take down my review, which is annoying. I believe my review to offer accurate and appropriate information that may be useful to others, but they really want me to take it down.
