Although I'm pretty skilled in the kitchen, I'm not typically a kitchen gadget person as I find most gadgets claim to do something that is just as easily done without a gadget. However I was enticed by this, as I get a lot of veggies in my local CSA and thought this might be a innovative way to use them. I used it on zuchinni first. Each time the zuchinni broke within the first 5 turns. This amounted to such small pieces of zuchinni they weren't long enough to turn. In addition you get to this core of zuchinni that is almost two small to get up against the side where the blades are. The cap was a joke, it just twisted inside of the zuchinni. It might hold up better with a carrot, but the performance was so terrible I'm not even going to waste my time. I can't believe how many good reviews there are for this product. It goes back immediately.
