Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I wanted to like this book but it just didn't work for me. For starters, the writing style felt bland and choppy, a bit stilted to me. I also could not find anything particularly likeable about the characters who seemed to lack depth. The romance component felt "required" with little emotion. Also, I could not get past the fact that the "Asian" (who was referred to as "the Asian") seemed to be scapegoated while the main characters were Aryan types. Why was the antagonist Asian at all? Finally, the ending was anything less than satisfactory, did not answer all questions and seemed rushed to be completed. I gave the book two stars however for the premise which I found to be interesting, the reason I chose to read the book initially.
