As a Photo/Video Editor I Could NOT force myself to like this... 2 Big issues I have
I hope this review really helps some people better understand these “paperlike” or matte screen protectors. I can’t say they all have the same problems as this one, but I suspect many do. 1) There is a VERY noticeable reduction in clarity. I am so sincere with this and cannot believe more people are not complaining about it. I just took the protector off and it’s like going from 720p to 1080p+++. I’m not kidding, see my photo. This is easily my biggest complaint. 2) The texture is more like abrasive cloth and WAY too grippy. Think jeans/denim material. For me doing photo and video editing on the iPad this was another deal breaker because it made small smooth movements MUCH more difficult. The whole reason I bought the screen protector was because I thought it would help with control. When making precise movements the pencil has a tendency to “jump” or “skip” ever so slightly. Obviously this made smooth movements a significant challenge. Much worse than writing on the iPad glass OR regular paper. Paper is smoother than you think! In the end, I tore it off and couldn’t be happier. It was worth a try but I ended up wasting nearly $20 because I had some false expectations due to how these products have been promoted.
