We initially liked this humidifier. It had no filter to replace monthly like our old one, and you could see the mist coming out when it's turned up high. However, 5 weeks later, we're done with it! It drips water when you lift the tank to refill (every 2-3 days), and the tank will often drip water when you replace it (which is a bit awkward). I was willing to live with that until I realized the whole unit develops pink mold in the base and the tank weekly. I've been cleaning it and wiping it down, but today I discovered mold inside the top valve where the mist comes out and down inside the tank (where only a bottle brush might reach). Disgusting! I thought about taking pictures but it was gross. The surfaces have far too many crevices to clean this easily or properly! I even tried a Q-tip and still couldn't get it completely clean. What good does it do to blow wet, pink mold particles into the air?? Don't buy this! Vicks has a good reputation but this product doesn't reflect that at all!!
