I was really excited about getting these as an upgrade from the Pro model because I thought these looked really nice (a huge design upgrade no doubt) and I had heard that the sound quality was even better than the Pro models. The first thing I noticed when I started using them was that the sound quality was NOT better than the Pro models (which are like 2 years old now), and in fact, the sound quality was noticeably worse. The max volume on this model has been cut down by like, probably at least 2 notches, maybe even 3; so in order to get a comfortable volume I had to keep these turned up almost all the way. Regarding the sound quality, this model cuts a lot of the bass out of the overall sound, and to me it really makes it sound cheap, but YMMV on this. If you don't care for a lot of bass in your headphones, you might enjoy these. I did not. This could be due to the fact the Platinum model uses a slightly smaller earbud design, but I'm not positive on that. I could have gotten over all of that, as I'm not an audiophile; the deal breaker for me was bluetooth connectivity. If you have read all the reviews complaining about losing connection, I'm sad to report this is absolutely true. I was losing connection on these things while holding my phone in my hand. Losing connection about 2-3 times every few minutes. This issue just completely makes these things unusable to be completely honest. I'm not sure what the problem is, as these headsets use the same Bluetooth technology as the Infinim models (which work wonderfully, btw.), but the Platinum model DEFINITELY has a bluetooth issue. These were used on an iPhone 6S, so it may work better on Android phones...not sure about that. In the end, I took these back and decided to get the 910 model (2nd gen Infinim's), which basically are almost identical to the Platinum model with the exception of working properly and being about $60 cheaper.
