I highly recommend looking at this before deciding if this is a good value... (EDIT: looks like Amazon deleted the link I left. It links directly to the manufacturers website. Just do a simple search on the manufacturers website for "HP 255" and you'll see what I'm getting at below) There the HP 255 is basically the same as this with a few spec differences, and it's listed at the same price, which is MSRP. There the Hard Drive is 500GB (as opposed to 128GB), it has an R5 Graphics card (as opposed to R4), and 4GB of RAM (as opposed to 8GB here). Essentially what Amazon is offering is the prior generation, with 4GB more of RAM. Personally, I'd buy the newer generation model directly from HP and add 4GB of RAM on my own, if I were interested in this laptop. ADDITIONAL EDIT: It looks like Amazon took this off the "deal of the day" and raised the price by almost 3 fold. DO NOT buy at that price. Go to the manufacturers website and purchase directly from them instead, and buy another as well, and you'll still come out ahead financially, and you'll have a backup for target practice, gifting, whatever.
