I'm a former locksmith and I like the idea of this product making it easy for a user to do their own rekeying. However, the solution fails when it provides the buyer with a very insecure key to start with; and some have said all the products they ordered contained the same key. This wold be very bad. When I would rekeying locks for people, I made sure there were high cuts next to low cuts to help prevent picking or raking. The key I was sent had the same cuts in positions #1 and #5 with a single drop for the pins in position #2 and #4. Pin #3 was a single drop from the adjacent ones. For example, the pin positions from 1 to 5 were: 1 2 3 2 1 (very straight and no deep cuts when looking at the side profile). I could easily insert a rake tool in the lockset and opening it without picking due to the weak pinning I was provided. I would not recommend this product unless you receive varying high and low cuts for your keys, if you did not, I would return it.
