★★☆☆☆
For $30, was it's short life well lived?
Date of purchase: August 14, 2016. Date of death: January 4, 2018. Elapsed lifetime: 1 year, 4 months, 21 days I dunno... I've had hubs that lasted years and years until I just replaced them with something with more ports, or was powered, or whatever. This one was down in less than 18 months. Probably in about a year, if I factor in all the oddball behavior that I failed to attribute to the hub until it died outright. I would wake the PC up from sleep, and it wouldn't see my USB headset.Or I'd be playing a game and my mouse would stop working, and then go lights out. I bought this to be able to run an RGB lighted Corsair keyboard and mouse combo. It spent it's whole life plugged in as a powered hub. After randomly dropping my peripherals for a few months, it's death was really more an official announcement of what was going on. In truth, I can say I didn't sort out what was going on probably because I've never had a USB hub die before. At the very least, I'd expect it to last longer than this. I will not be re purchasing this same item.
