DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! This is the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. I bought this carrier so that I could take walks with my 8 week old puppy. She is not strong enough to walk through the forest with me yet. I have tried it out walking around my house for about 30 minutes. This is the most dangerous and thoughtlessly designed product I have ever purchased. The "security ring" designed to be attached to the puppy's collar to supposed to prevent it from jumping out. If a puppy wearing a collar decides to jump out of this open sling carrier, it will likely break its neck. The clip on the security ring is very cheap and hard to access. The attachment to the pup should be made with velcro or at least a quick release buckle. This carrier should NEVER be used by a pup wearing a collar. It would only be marginally safe if the pup is wearing a harness. The length of the shoulder strap is not adjustable. It should be made adjustable so that the weight of the pup can rest on the hip to take pressure off the wearer’s neck and give the pup some support. The shoulder strap has no interior structure, so the weight is not spread over the shoulder, it concentrates one spot on the neck. You can see fold in the shoulder strap on the neck of the model in the product photo. All of the pup’s weight goes on that fold on the wearer’s neck. It is uncomfortable after only a few minutes, is painful after ten minutes. The material the carrier is made of may be breathable but it is very cheap, thin and light weight. If used routinely by a normally active pup, I doubt it would last more than a couple of weeks. I also doubt if it would last through a washing. My guess is that there is not even a dollar's worth of material in this thing that costs $17 (discounted from $39 - boy am I a fool) The pocket is not useful for anything. It has a narrow opening secured by a very cheap zipper. My 5s i phone barely fits the opening. Then it drops down to the bottom of a 6 inch deep pocket and is difficult to retrieve. When the cell phone is removed the lining of the pocket comes out along with the cell phone and whatever else stored in the pocket. AMAZON QUIT SELLING THIS THING !!! SAFETY TEST PRODUCTS YOU SELL Does Amazon use even a tiny portion of their profit billions to do safety testing – or is safety crowd sourced by unsuspecting customers?????
