#MeToo has ruined Bond
When the director calls the main character a "r*pist". when the tagline for the film is called "Bond for the MeToo movement", When you have to have the ending changed...it's signs of massive trouble. It was reported that No Time To Die had to make 900 million to cover its losses and I'm slightly glad it didn't make its money back. Im not here to actually slander the film. It's really not as woke as it appears to be. Craig's tenure as James Bond has been great. I loved all of his films with the exception of this one. I get the ending, I really do...but still it's the direction they went with it. SInce when does the villain eventually win out in the end...in a Bond film? There's been a 59 year legacy that No Time To Die tarnishes a bit. James Bond will return, but how? It's not as convoluted and heavy handed as The Invisible Man (2019) but it left me with a bad taste. Is it worth a watch? Yes. But is it a good Bond film? Absolutely not. Oh yeah, The homages to On Her Majesty's Secret Service was cool, but it was too much. OHMSS remains the superior film. No Time To Die on the other hand? To be quickly forgotten.
