First of all, it's advertised to read 30dB minimum, but when you read the manual it clearly states 40dB-130dB. This meter reads 60dB in a dead silent room. When you turn the back light on, the reading drops ~20dB. No matter what the reading is, once the back light comes on it drops. Someone bought 2 and put them side by side and they were ~30dB off when measuring the exact same thing. These are worse than toys.
