I bought this Hayward T-Cell-15 on August 16, 2016. This month (April 2018) it will no longer generate because the salt level incorrectly states its at 1,900 ppm. Leslie's confirmed my pool salt concentration is 3,200 ppm. I cleaned the cell with Muriatic acid twice, but that did not help. I bought, received, and installed a new cell from Hayward (last purchase was in August 2016) and it generates correctly and the salt is reading 3,200 ppm. I called Hayward Customer Service and they would not prorate the "3 year" warranty unless the cell failure was confirmed. Per their recommendation, I took the failed cell to my local Leslie's and their "go/no" test said the cell was OK. I asked the Leslie employee if his instrument tested for salt ppm. He said no (?). All for nothing anyway, because today Hayward customer Service said Leslie's is not an authorized tester for Hayward. Hayward Customer Service also said there wasn't an authorized Hayward service center within 150 miles of my zip code. I imagine I would have a comparable warranty situation if I were to purchase a Hayward ColorLogic LED pool light or other expensive product.
