I've used other Tumeric products in the past and decided to try Doctors Best with Bioperine. At first I didn't notice any difference, however, after 2 weeks my stomach started bothering me. Putting two and two together, I realized it was the Bioperine (black pepper) that was upsetting my stomach. I've now switched to Doctors Best Turmeric with Meriva instead of Bioperine (BOTH of which are supposed to increase curcumin absorption) and all stomach discomfort has disappeared. Whatever quantity I have left of the Curcumin with Bioperine, I utilize every OTHER day alternating with the Meriva product until its all used up and the stomach feels fine. Be wary of any products containing Bioperine if you have a sensitive stomach
