Not worth the short comings
Charing from 65% to full takes over 4hrs with 3x7.5 and 1x5 batteries.
400w draw is about 3 hrs of runtime with 3x7.5 and 1x5 batteries. Definitely not something sustainable during an emergency.
For starters the idea behind this goes against the documentation about the batteries. The docs read that prolonged unused batteries should be discharged. But inorder to make use of this during and unplanned emergency. Then one has to have their batteries charging all the time.
How the unit it self is a horrible charging station it self. It will only slow charge one battery at time. Until that battery's level is equal the next lowest battery or battery's charge. Then it will still only slow charge the lowest level batteries, switching between them evenly. Make the wait for a fully charged battery to use in other devices a painful slow wait.
Finally they're the short coming of how the unit can only charge or power the outlets. This limitation makes it a horrible device for during rolling black outs. For which you need a device that can say power refrigerator, medical equipment, or electronics while there's no power. But then the power comes back on charge your batteries back up quickly while still providing power to your devices.
Some will say you can just move your devices back to the now working power outlets. But thats provided your home. But even if your home for this kinda money why should you have to. It's a simple oversight that should have never made it past the drawing board. But it did and it makes this device a horrible emergency power station.
This is fine as a planned outing power supply. But nothing else.
Oh and one last thing, the wifi cards in these are horrible! Good like getting it connected to and keeping it connected. Although the Bluetooth range is acceptable.
