IF YOU ARE CHECKING OUT REVIEWS TO DECIDE ON BUYING THIS PRODUCT PLEASE READ!! I wish I would have listened to the negative reviews before buying! I dont know why there are so many "raving" reviews for this flat iron. I literally looked at reviews for top flat irons in 2018 for 2 days straight and this one kept coming up. How much did Remington pay for their products to be on so many websites?? (Lol just kidding. But really....) I understand you get what you pay for. But man, this is awful! First of all, it smells awful. The burning plastic smell is too much. It made my hair just reek. Second, it did not glide through my hair well at all. It kept grabbing and leaving crimp marks all the way down. With curling and straightening. And lastly, the "conditioners" it puts out dont do much because it made my hair SO DRY and damaged feeling. My boyfriend even remarked it looked dry and smelled burned. I cant imagine the damage it would do after using it on a regular basis. I thought maybe it was just my hair because it is color treated. So I tried it on my friends natural hair. Same results. Extremely disappointed. If you care about keeping your mane healthy, dont waste your money on this flat iron. There are other affordable flat irons out there that won't destroy your hair. Oh and p.s, the plates do not even touch except at the top unless you firmly press them together, which causes more damage! Ugh.
