I have had Hoover vacuum cleaners for over 40 years. With this one, I have been extremely disappointed. It is so poorly designed it is awkward to use and difficult to maneuver. The cleaning job is not good overall. It is not easy to turn on and off. Why is the button low down in a random place on the left side and not on handle, and why is there a big plastic pedal thing to stop the brush? This pedal will catch under furniture if not very careful and I have damaged a couch because it caught and tore the fabric, breaking the flimsy plastic pedal as it did so. The handle comes out to use with attachments for little stuff, but it has no reach and is very cumbersome to use. Doesn’t work well anyway. Overall a very clumsy and poorly designed product. Hoover used to make good vacuums so why did they throw all the good features away and instead make it a clumsy piece of junk? Why redesign the whole thing when it was much better before? Don’t buy this vacuum, it will be infuriating and make the chore so much more unpleasant. To Hoover: you don’t have to redesign the wheel with every new model. Find features that work and stick with them, and stop trying to be clever with features that no one wants. Make a product that works!
