I'm giving this product 1 star because there's no option for "0". This product simply does not work as a radio, which is the reason I bought it, I already have mp3 players. In order to cut down on my cell phone data use -it slows down after a certain usage- I wanted to have a simple option for music at work and thought this should do. First of all, it was only able to find 5 FM stations, out of a field of 58 in the Seattle area. And I ran the search in several different points across the city (home, work, friends' homes, the bus, etc.). And from the handful of stations it picked up, not a single one came in clearly. The range of reception went from barely discernible garbled noise to static filled "music"...that was it. But it got MUCH worse when I tried to return the item. After going through the usually simple Amazon process for returns and entering the reason for the return, I received an e-mail from manufacturer "HoopsChina" asking me again for the reason and whether item was broken or defective, and also requesting a picture of the item AND packaging. I contacted Amazon and explained situation -a picture would not show the problem- so they said they'd follow up. Then HoopsChina e-mailed me again instructing me to recheck because the problem was likely due to my "CARELESS MISTAKE"!!. I replied as tactfully as possible to this downright offensive accusation, reassuring them that I was capable enough to figure out their simple device (refrained from calling it a worthless piece of junk). To this, they replied that I had to send the item back to China, specifically via international airmail and AND AT MY OWN EXPENSE, and after that they would decide on a solution....no, I'm not kidding. The item was less than 9 bucks, returning it to China would cost much more than that, and still no guarantee of a refund. By this time, the refund was not even the issue, as it was the way HoopsChina treated me. Their name is perfect, they will make you jump through Hoops if you try returning one of their products. So good luck if you still decide to order something from them! By the way, Amazon graciously stepped up and they issued me a full refund without asking for the "product" back. I hope Amazon reconsiders carrying HoopsChina's products.
