Originally 4 stars but after 16 months this tv is broken too... So to sum ot all up about 10 home visits by techs 3 replacements and more than $15000 spent and i still dont have a working tv. Samsung makes pure garbage I owned the un65f900 and was given this as a replacement. the un65f900 had been serviced 6 times. the one connect box was the major problem and eventually the tech advised samsung to replace... they refused and basically blew me off over and over again until I threatened legal action. They then issued me the js9500. Ihave had this tv for about 2 months now and can tell you this. pros tizen os is stable for the most part tizen os is easy to use smart remote is the best remote I've ever used. the contast restarting of the sek2000 and sek2500 one connect boxes seems to be resolved. one connect box makes wiring easier fald when viewed straight on is everybit as good as led and plasma if not better fald when viewed at 15-45 degrees is still far better than edge lit however haloing becomes visible with things like text on black screen curve is nice from all view angles and disappears when watching media stand is much smaller and better than the one on the 2013 models 10bit 120hz panel I have literally been to theaters that lag behind this tv when watching netflix house of cards in 4k. ready for 4k blurays (rec 2020, 10bit, 4k, hdmi 2.0, hevc all up to date) cons currently can't handle 4x 1080p sources at same time as the sek2500 could one connect has me very nervous since it has been such an issue in the past one connect visually is cheap compared with the original one connect (made of plastic instead of polish metal) curved screen will stretch a light source all the way across the screen if directly in front of tv (easy to avoid) does not include standard remote so if you are like me and have a hk sb16 then you will need a different remote to program volume changes one connect cable is 5ft used to be 6ft with 10ft version available. (this may be fixed later) why you should buy this tv it looks amazing why you shouldn't samsung support is garbage they are disrespectful and only agreed to replace a 10 month old ($6000) tv after: replacing every component replacing the mainboard 4 times replaced one connect 3 times 5 service repairs 3 lost service requests at LEAST 40 hours on phone with tech support being asked by support to describe the same problem over and over again as if I were speaking a different language. being asked to power cycle the tv several dozen times every call being call back by customer support only to have them ask you to power cycle the tv again. no help came until I literally gave up on them and contacted a lawyer. one week later replacement... this tv is awesome... samsung is not I would buy any other company besides this. my lg for example has never crashed in the 4 years I owned it my un65f900 crashed 2-10 times per day. the js9500 has only crashed on me 2 or 3 times since purchase and I'm not totally convinced it wasn't on purpose... automatic updates are on. so if you don't care about manufacturer support at all I would get this tv.if you care about support run away as fast as you can... if you already have samsung just file small claims before even talking to them... trust me it will get resolved that way and only that way. new policy states even when a technician comes to your house and says the panel is dead they will not replace.
