Not up to code
Purchased this very attractive, very well made, and sturdy bee home only to realize I didn't do my research. According to thehoneybeeconservancy.org:
1. Mason bees need a "breathable" tube, which bamboo is not. Paper tubes work best, apparently.
2. They need a tube that is at least 6" long or you get skewed sex ratios. These tubes are ~3.5".
Like I said, well made, excellent craftsmanship, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again if it was the correct size. Would make an attractive ornament.
