After a year in my car (on the dashboard) this pad has turned into a mini La Brea Tar Pit. I'm going to try removing it, but I'd like to wait til this Winter when it will hopefully be more of a solid in near zero F temps. I live in Ohio, and it worked fine in the cold months, but as the temps got higher the pad got messier... it began to leave a residue on any items that were stored on it. When the temps got even warmer, any object that came incontact with the mat would come away with a sticky black blotch that took Goo Gone or a similar product to remove. Once temps hit 90F the thing basically turned into a liquid and I don't put anything on the dash for fear it may come in contact with it.
