★★☆☆☆
Better than some other devices, but has some major downfalls.
Somewhat better than a Go-tcha, however it is slow at spinning and catching. It does connect pretty well with my iPad, but my android device I consistently have to go through the whole process of disconnecting on the Catchmon device, disconnecting in the game, forgetting the device in the bluetooth settings, and then connecting again and hoping it works. It's unfortunate that this device doesn't seem much better than other's in that aspect.
The battery life will actually last maybe 2-3 days of heavy use, so you will use a ton of AAA batteries - be warned.
The battery housing piece is incredibly difficult to take off. I put my first set of batteries in, and since they died I haven't been able to get the back off again to replace them. The device is just too slick and there's nothing to grab on to.
Lastly, I contacted the company that makes these and asked them a simple question. I waited a week but never got any response from them, so don't expect any sort of customer service or help if you have any issues.
Overall, I had really high hopes for this device, but it doesn't live up to its $80 price tag and has too many issues to really recommend.
