Predictable and then More Predicitable with Sub-Par Acting
I recall Seberg being especially beautiful (Paint Your Wagon, etc.) and somewhat waif-like. Steward is definitely not waif-like, nor is she the right person to portray Seberg. Dark circled eyes, out of condition body, and shallow acting don't add up in this biopic melodrama. So boring, so predictable. Let's add it up: Hollywood star is boozing, smoking weed, committing adultery (but her French husband would find it amusing), and speaking out against the Viet Nam War, and she's an activist who is betrayed by the FBI. And the ending? Equally predictable. Yes, a somewhat true (though massaged by the liberal propaganda machines) ending. She commits suicide. Surely, there is more to this tragic story than this 1 hour and 42 minute mess. Please require more of film makers. Do not watch this.
