I also tried one of these and it was defective in no time. Figure I could come up with something better, I was right. Went to walmart and purchased some women's flat design hair scrunchies and some nylon cord. The scrunchies fit perfect around the lens and I could make the cord any size. I just tied a knot on the scrunchies and drilled a small hole in the lens cap, put a knot on the end so it doesn't pull through. I did 3 lenses and have enough for 11 more, all for 5 bucks. Perfect no more losing caps and the lens will stand on end.
